Keith Magness
Keith Magness is a former U.S. Marine, Deputy Sheriff and Special Agent in the U.S. Secret Service who knows what it means to fight for people. He received his law degree from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law in 2003. Magness had an impressive career as a law student, ultimately graduating with honors in the top 10 percent of his law school class. While in school, he received the La-Nasa-Greco Foundation Scholarship, the William L. Crowe Sr. Scholar Award, and was a published member of the Loyola Law Review. For the first two years after graduation, Keith Magness served as a Special Agent in the New Orleans, Louisiana Field Office of the U.S. Secret Service. As a Special Agent, Magness investigated illegal activities affecting the financial infrastructure of the country, and supported the agency’s protective mission for the President and Vice President of the United States. After his time in the Secret Service, Keith Magness began practicing law. He worked as an attorney in a large-firm setting for six years. As a large-firm attorney, Magness focused on complex commercial litigation. His experience brought him into contact with a number of different clients, from those in the construction industry to those in the insurance industries. The value of his cases ranged from a few thousand to several million dollars. Following six years of practice in a large-firm setting, Keith Magness started the Law Office of Keith L. Magness, LLC. The firm has two locations in Louisiana, one in Metairie, and the other in Gretna. The firm focuses it practice on representation of individuals injured in car, truck and motorcycle accidents. Attorney Keith Magness also makes time for charity in his life. He is a strong supporter of a number of healthcare charities including the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Cancer Society. As a veteran, Keith Magness is also a proud member of the American Legion, a service organization for veterans. Keith Magness is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana.
