Philip J. Layfield

Philip J. Layfield has been at the center of multi-million dollar litigation since the beginning of his career in 1999. As a skilled trial attorney, Mr. Layfield has litigated matters in all courts in the State of California, Southern District of New York, 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, Nevada, Utah, Western District of North Carolina, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Layfield is often brought into serious disputes on the eve of trial and has been successful in obtaining favorable results on behalf of his clients. Most of Mr. Layfield’s cases are referred by other law firms and solo practitioners throughout the United States.

In the last 24 months, Mr. Layfield has been responsible for securing verdicts and settlements in excess of $35 million. Mr. Layfield is ready, able, and willing to become involved in any dispute where consumers have been harmed financially or injured physically and feel like they are outmatched.

Mr. Layfield works with a team of thirty staff (including nine attorneys) in several offices and acts as lead trial counsel on cases with values in excess of one million dollars. Mr. Layfield has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer and is a member of the Multi-Million Advocates Forum. Mr. Layfield has a B.S. (Finance) from The University of Arizona, a JD from University of San Diego School of Law, and an LL.M. from The Georgetown University Law Center. In addition to his license to practice law, he holds a CPA (inactive) license in California as well as a real estate broker license. Mr. Layfield also continues to build his trial skills through Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College. Mr. Layfield is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, Western Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association of Justice.

Mr. Layfield gives back to his community by donating his time and firm resources to numerous charitable causes including Gerry Spence’s Ranch Club.
